Minister Chris Witherspoon was born June 24,1973 and is from a small town called Dumas, Arkansas.  He was born into an extremely gifted family of musicians and singers.

At the early age of 3, Chris found his first true love for music, playing the drums.  At 6 years of age he started playing drums in church and for his dad and brother's quartet singing groups (and anyone else that would let him play). This is when he really fell in love with gospel music and being a part of the music ministries in church.

In 1987, he moved to Dallas Texas, with his mother and 2 brothers. While in transition, Chris decided to teach himself the piano, and then later the bass guitar.  He continued to serve as a musician for 2 different churches in Dallas Texas, until he was led to Bear Creek in 2008.  Bear Creek would allow Chris the opportunity to minister as the bass player and eventually the Minster of Music.

His love for GOD and music has always kept him grounded and humbled. He has always had a deeply church-rooted support system with his Mom and brothers, and that support grew even stronger when he met and married his lovely wife in September of 2019.

God's musical gift to Chris has allowed him to share stages with many famous gospel singers and great musicians. He also has played for several stage plays where he served as the Director of Music.

"God has truly blessed me with a gift that I do not take any credit.  I owe it all to HIM."
