Neighbor Feeding Neighbor
Encouraging our community ONE plate at a time
Bear Creek's Neighbor Feeding Neighbor Ministry started out of the Bear Creek Fellowship Hall where our members would pick up the homeless citizens of Irving and feed them physically and spiritually while allowing them to use the facilities to clean up and get a bit of rest from the elements. Today with a little push from Covid our Neighbor Feeding Neighbor team has taken to the streets of Irving and Dallas giving out over 350 plates per week.
Our team goes out every Tuesday to locations throughout Dallas and are always seeking volunteers. Plans are to reinstitute the Thursday feeding route we had for several years. If you would like to volunteer you can contact Lydia Webb at firstname.lastname@example.org or come to the church any Tuesday at 2 pm.
Our team is dedicated. Rain or shine our kitchen staff is in the kitchen cooking hot meals and putting plates together to feed the hungry and our street team is there to load the package the meals and take them to where ever they find homeless people needing something to eat.
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Although getting out in streets may not be possible for everyone you can support those who do. Financial donations go along way since this ministry is funded by donations only. All donations are tax deductible. You can give online by clicking the donate tab on this website. We like to provide an opportunity for you to participate in the work of the Lord with us.
Our team not only feed the homeless but also provide hygiene bags, sleeping bags, warm clothes, sock, underwear, tents, Christian literature and smiles plus the Love of Jesus.
